Suchitra is an experienced Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) and a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician with a passion for supporting individuals in cultivating a healthy relationship with food and their bodies. With a calm, open, and intuitive approach, Suchitra specializes in helping clients break free from the cycle of dieting and discover the joy and freedom of intuitive eating.

Extensive Experience and Expertise in Nutrition and Eating Disorders

Suchitra holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from MUIC, Thailand, and a Master’s in Nutrition and Dieteticsfrom the University of Sydney. With over 15 years of experience as a nutrition expert, she has worked across various settings, developing specialized knowledge in the treatment of eating disorders and disordered eating.

Suchitra has a particular interest in working with children, adolescents, and adults facing eating disorders such as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorders (OSFED). She is dedicated to helping clients navigate body image concerns, overcome emotional eating, and heal from chronic dieting.

Suchitra’s approach to nutrition counseling is compassionate, holistic, and deeply respectful of each client’s beliefs and values. She works with her clients to embrace body diversity, providing them with the tools to lead a healthy life and foster a positive relationship with food. Suchitra is committed to creating a safe space for clients, where they can freely explore their journey with food, health, and body image in a non-judgmental environment.

Specialized Training and Approaches in Eating Disorder Recovery

Suchitra is also passionate about supporting parents and families through the recovery process, especially those helping adolescents manage eating disorders at home. She is trained in Maudsley Family Therapy, a family-based treatment technique developed at The Children’s Hospital Westmead. Suchitra continues to receive specialized supervision to ensure the highest quality of care for her clients.

Her commitment to professional growth is reflected in her ongoing supervision and participation in specialized training. She incorporates a variety of mind-body connection techniques into her practice, including intuitive eating principles, mindfulness, and body image healing.
