Sophie Berry

Clinical Psychology Registrar

Sophie is an empathetic psychologist dedicated to nurturing compassionate, authentic and supportive therapeutic relationships with her clients. She strives to create a safe and trusting space where individuals can openly share their struggles, courageously engage in therapy, and develop skills to help them persevere through their adversities and improve their wellbeing.

With an approach centred on working collaboratively, Sophie tailors therapeutic interventions to align with clients’ unique needs and goals. Sophie has experience working with a range of presentations including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, body image concerns, mood disorders, self-esteem, and perfectionism. She utilises evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy; Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Enhanced; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Dialectical Behaviour Therapy; Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness-based practices.
Having completed a Master of Clinical Psychology degree at the University of Technology Sydney, Sophie is currently undertaking a PhD. Her research focuses on eating disorder prevention.
Sophie holds membership with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, the Australian Psychological Society, the Australian Clinical Psychology Association and the Australian & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders.
