Clinical Psychology Registrar
Jordan is passionate psychologist who is dedicated to fostering a warm, safe, non-judgmental environment for her clients. She offers a psychological lens to the client’s experience and creates a shared understanding of their presenting concerns. Her role is collaborative in nature where she supports clients to navigate their therapeutic journey and empowers them to achieve their identified goals. She works alongside clients to develop a personalised toolbox of skills and coping strategies to build upon their strengths and bring about effective change. She has been described as a genuine and respectful practitioner who acts with transparency and integrity.
Jordan gained clinical experience working with culturally diverse individuals from across the lifespan in a broad range of settings including private practice, not-for-profit organisations, university-based settings, outpatient hospital facilities, and acute in-patient wards. Her experience has allowed her to work with clients presenting with a range of difficulties such as anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, low self-worth, non-suicidal self-harm, oppositional behaviour, emotional regulation difficulties, and interpersonal difficulties. She is committed to using gold standard treatment approaches and is trained in various evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Jordan completed her Master of Clinical Psychology at The University of Southern Queensland where she graduated with distinction. Prior, she completed her Bachelor of Social Sciences (honours) and Bachelor of Arts (psychology and criminology) in her home country, South Africa. She holds membership with the Australian Psychological Society (APS) and the Australian Clinical Psychology Association (ACPA).
Jordan is available Tuesday and Thursday (including after school appointments).
