Jodie – Clinical Psychology Registrar | Eating Disorders, Body Image, Anxiety, Mood & High Performance Mental Health
Jodie is a warm and compassionate Clinical Psychology Registrar with experience across private practice, public health services, university clinics and non-profit organisations, including The Butterfly Foundation and Lifeline.
She works with adolescents and adults across a range of mental health concerns, with particular interests in eating disorders, body image, anxiety, depression, stress and life transitions. Jodie takes a strengths-based and collaborative approach, tailoring evidence based treatment to each individual and creating a safe and supportive space for meaningful change.
With a background as a professional dancer, Jodie has a particular interest in mental health within high performance environments and works with dancers, athletes and other high performance individuals. She is particularly interested in supporting the psychological wellbeing of individuals navigating performance pressures, perfectionism, body image, identity and the demands of striving for excellence.
Therapeutic Approaches
Jodie draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) informed strategies, tailoring treatment to each client’s individual needs and goals.
Qualifications
Jodie holds a Master of Clinical Psychology (Distinction) and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology (First Class Honours). She is a Clinical Psychology Registrar and member of the Australian Psychological Society.
