Jill Ng

Dietitian

Jill is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with 20 years of clinical experience across acute hospital and private practice settings. She completed her Master of Science (Nutrition and Dietetics) at the University of Wollongong in 2005 and a Graduate Certificate in Metabolic Health and Medicine at the University of Sydney in 2022. 

Jill currently practises as a Clinical Dietitian at North Shore Private Hospital, where she provides specialised nutrition care across a range of complex medical and surgical conditions. Her previous experience includes working in the Northside Clinic Inpatient Day Program, supporting individuals with eating disorders as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Jill has extensive experience in the nutritional management of complex medical conditions, with a clinical focus on upper gastrointestinal nutrition and weight loss surgery (UK & Aus)oncology nutritiongut healthtype 2 diabetesand kidney disease. She supports patients undergoing cancer treatment, recovering from upper gastrointestinal surgery, managing gastrointestinal disorders, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, malnutrition and other complex medical conditions through practical, evidence-based Medical Nutrition Therapy, health coaching and nutrition counselling. 

She also has a special interest in fertility nutritionpregnancy nutritiongestational diabetespaediatric nutrition, and the nutritional management of disordered eating. Jill has completed Health Change Australia training in Motivational Interviewing and Health Coaching in 2012, equipping her with evidence-based behaviour change strategies that help patients make realistic, sustainable lifestyle changes. She is currently working towards Eating Disorders Credential status to further expand her expertise in supporting individuals with eating disorders.

Jill believes the best nutrition advice is delivered through conversation, not judgement. Her consultations are warm, collaborative and practical, creating a supportive space where patients feel heard, understood and empowered to make sustainable changes to their health. She enjoys working closely with GPs, psychologists, psychiatrists, medical specialists and allied health professionals to provide coordinated, person-centred care.

Outside of consultations, Jill is often accompanied by her friendly dog Sunny, whose calm and gentle nature helps create a welcoming environment for many patients.
