Dr Janet Conti

Janet is an experienced clinical psychologist and also works as an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology at Western Sydney University. She is committed to developing and facilitating ways of working with a person’s (family’s) expertise on their own life and tailoring treatments to a their needs and preferences to facilitate healing. She sees people who have experienced a range of challenges in life, and specialises in the treatment of eating disorders and trauma. She is an Australian and New Zealand Eating Disorder Credentialed Clinician.

Janet has expertise in working with a range of psychological therapies including narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, mindfulness-based therapies, trauma—based therapies (including EMDR and Cognitive processing therapy). She is also an experienced supervisor of clinical and professional psychologists, particularly in the area of reflective practice in supervision and is a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (Higher Education).
