Sophie is an empathetic Clinical Psychologist dedicated to building compassionate, authentic and supportive therapeutic relationships. Through a collaborative approach, she creates a safe, trusting space where you feel genuinely seen and comfortable sharing your struggles, engaging in therapy and developing the skills needed to overcome challenges and improve your mental health.

Areas of Focus

Sophie has extensive experience working with adolescents and adults facing a range of difficulties, including anxiety disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, eating disorders, body image concerns, mood disorders and perfectionism. She is committed to providing an environment where you feel heard, understood and equipped with practical tools to help create meaningful and lasting change.

Evidence-Based Approaches

Sophie provides tailored, evidence-based therapy focused on long-term wellbeing. Therapeutic modalities utilised include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-based practices. Sophie offers specialised eating disorder care through Enhanced-CBT (CBT-E), Specialist Supportive Clinical Management (SSCM) and Family-Based Therapy (FBT).

Advanced Training and Research

Sophie completed a Bachelor of Psychology at Macquarie University, a Graduate Diploma in Psychology at Murdoch University and a Master of Clinical Psychology at the University of Technology Sydney. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the University of Technology Sydney, with a focus on eating disorder prevention in schools. She is dedicated to integrating the latest clinical research into her practice to deliver high-quality, evidence-informed care.

Sophie holds memberships with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI) and the Australian & New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED). She is committed to ongoing professional development, continuously enhancing her knowledge and skills to provide the best possible care for her clients.
