Senior Dietitian
Suchitra is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) with a passion for supporting and understanding people with the relationship they have with food and their bodies, while possessing an open, calm and intuitive mind.She is a Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician.
Suchitra has completed a Bachelor in Biomedical Science with MUIC, Thailand and Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics with University of Sydney. She has been practicing nutrition in a variety of setting over the last 15 years of her career.
Suchitra has special interest in working with children, adolescents and adults experiencing disordered eating, eating disorder and body image concerns. This includes eating disorders – Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorders (ARFRID), Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED). She is also passionate in helping her clients break the cycle of dieting, through intuitive eating principles and to find freedom and fulfilment with food.
Suchitra engages with her clients in a compassionate and holistic manner while deeply respecting their beliefs and values. She firmly understands the broad spectrum of body diversity and strives to provide her clients with every possible means to live a healthy life and maintain a good relationship with food. She establishes a safe space for her clients by forming a trustworthy and respectful relationship with them, where they feel comfortable to explore their journey about food, health and body image with her.
Suchitra is also interested in supporting parents rehabilitating their adolescents going through eating disorders within their home environment using Maudsley Family Therapy, a technique she was trained by leading clinicians at The Children’s Hospital Westmead. She continues to get specialised supervision and support from the clinicians in order to provide quality care for her clients.
Suchitra is committed to ongoing supervision and professional development. She practices using various mind and body connection techniques, including intuitive eating principles, mindfulness-based practices and body image work for the best interests of her clients.
