Rebecca is an experienced Clinical Psychologist with a deep commitment to helping individuals create meaningful, vibrant lives. She has an interest in treating anxiety, depression, and eating disorders, offering evidence-based, compassionate care. Rebecca is a member of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and the Australian and New Zealand Academy for Eating Disorders (ANZAED).
Expertise in Evidence-Based Treatments and Eating Disorder Therapy
Rebecca began her psychology career in rural New South Wales, where she developed and delivered a Mindfulness for Depression group therapy program, inspired by John Kabat-Zinn’s groundbreaking research. She is a passionate advocate for evidence-based treatments, and her work reflects this foundational belief.
Rebecca has since expanded her expertise by co-founding and managing a community-based Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program in Metropolitan Sydney, and offering Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for individuals with mood disorders and anxiety. Rebecca is an ANZAED Eating Disorder Credentialed Clinician, reflecting her specialised expertise and extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders.
Between 2010 and 2015, Rebecca played a pivotal role at Northside Clinic, contributing to the renowned Eating Disorders Program. She worked with adults, adolescents, and families to facilitate significant recovery, while also conducting research on the factors influencing treatment outcomes in eating disorders. Her work in the Mood and Anxiety Unit focused on client-led treatment for individuals with mood and anxiety disorders.
Eating Disorders and Body Image Disturbance
Rebecca has a focus on Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and body image disturbance. Additionally, she is passionate about promoting body neutral perspectives. Rebecca’s therapeutic approach integrates third wave behavioral therapies, including Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (MBCT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
Rebecca has completed extensive training with global experts, including Marsha Linehan, Kelly Wilson, and Russ Harris, refining her skills in third wave therapies to support lasting change and has developed an interest in Internal Family Systems.
