Ashleigh is a warm and passionate psychologist, who aims to foster a supportive and caring therapeutic relationship. Ashleigh ensures her sessions are patient focused, where you will work collaboratively to improve your emotional wellbeing and seek a worthy life. The sessions are engaging, challenging, and holistically driven as she draws on evidence-based treatment for mind and body to empower change.
Ashleigh has worked within a variety of different settings in the community and privately. She has experience treating a variety of concerns for adults and adolescents, such as anxiety, depression, eating disorders, OCD, adjustment and relationship difficulties. Additionally, she has extensive experience working with Chronic Pain and Chronic Illness at Macquarie University research centres and in private practice. Ashleigh holds a strong interest in managing the impact of employment on wellbeing, and helping people improve their relationship with their body.
Ashleigh draws on a range of therapeutic techniques, and individual’s strength and values. She draws on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and CBT-Enhanced for Eating Disorders, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectal Behavioural Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and parenting/attachment-based principles.
